Bonita Moore, DNP, RN, CHSE

Bonita Moore graduated with an ADN in 2013 from Bluegrass Community and Technical College and began working at UK Healthcare in the clinical Decision unit (CDU) providing care for ICU, progressive, and telemetry patients transferring to a medical surgical/telemetry unit at UK Healthcare Good Samaritan until July 2022. During this time, Bonita worked to complete a BSN in 2015, and an MSN in 2018 - graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University. She continued her education and completed the DNP program at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing in May 2023. In addition to working as a bedside RN, Bonita has worked as an adjunct clinical instructor for Bluegrass Community and Technical College from January 2016 until May 2020, as part-time faculty for the University of Kentucky College of Nursing in the Clinical Simulation and Learning Center (CSLC) beginning in 2019 transitioning to a full-time position as a lecturer/simulation specialist in August 2022 earning a certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator October 2022. Bonita is passionate about nursing, providing safe patient care, and helping nursing students enter the wonderful profession of nursing.
