Prof. Gabrielle Innocent, MSN, RN, CEN

Gabrielle Innocent graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Nursing with a Minor in Italian Studies in 2019. Gabrielle started her clinical practice at Chandler Emergency Department as a new graduate until she explored travel nursing to expand her practice. During Gabrielle’s time as a travel nurse, she worked in community hospitals and level 1 Trauma Centers treating a wide variety of patients at various acuities. Gabrielle returned to the University of Kentucky in 2022 to explore a new opportunity at the Gill Heart Institute in the procedural setting caring for adults and pediatrics with congenital heart disease. Gabrielle worked as a prep/recovery nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab for three years and managed chronically ill patients before and after minimally invasive procedures such as implantable cardioverter/defibrillators, pacemakers, bioprosthetic valves, cardiac stents, and cardiac ablations. In August of 2026, Gabrielle completed her MSN in Nursing Education through Northern Kentucky University and transitioned into a faculty role at the College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky. Gabrielle also serves as an instructor for ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC. Gabrielle is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association.
