Jesse first joined the College of Nursing in November 2019 as an Instructional Designer and now serves as Director of Instructional Design and Curriculum Development. He also serves as Chair of the Instructional Design and Innovation Council (IDIC). Prior to his roles in The College of Nursing, he worked as the Co-Founder and Director of Operations for the College of Communication and Information Collaborative Laboratory (CI CoLab): There he oversaw technology research in the areas of user-experience design, virtual reality, social media listening, instructional design, and eye-tracking. 

Jesse served as one the first social media listening specialists at the University of Kentucky working with Salesforce Social Studio to help improve the social media posture of various units at UK. He also created and oversaw the CI CoLab’s internship program which graduated a total of 10 technology-research interns. IN addition to technology research, Jesse also led a team of multimedia experts in producing interactive lectures and instructional modules.

Jesse has been an independent Information Technology consultant with over 10 years of experience in information technology and technology training- helping clients with everything from basic computer repair and training to complex networking operations.

Jesse has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Information Communication Technology from the University of Kentucky where he specialized in technology management, policy and regulation, and health informatics. Jesse is also a Certified Quality Matters Peer and Continuing and Professional Education Reviewer.
