Laura Schrader, MSN, RN, APRN

Laura Schrader received her BSN from the University of Kentucky in 1996. She began her career as a staff nurse at Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Trauma Intensive Care from 1996-2000. She was awarded her MSN from UK followed by certification as a family nurse practitioner in 2000. As a nurse practitioner, she specializes in upper extremity orthopedics and hand surgery. She currently practices with an orthopedic hand surgery group in Lexington where she diagnoses and treats patients with acute hand and wrist injuries, common hand and wrist problems, triages emergent hand and wrist trauma and practices at Baptist Health Lexington in perioperative services. Professor Schrader joined the College of Nursing in 2012 and is a senior lecturer in the RN-BSN program.
