Dr. Robin Ray, PhD, RN

Assistant Professor

Dr. Robin Ray received her BSN (2003), MSN (2009) and PhD (2021) from the University of Kentucky College of Nursing. During her doctoral studies, she was an Occupational-Environmental Nurse fellow in the Central Appalachian Educational and Research Center (CARERC) program with a focus on workplace lactation support. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Addressing Rural Cancer Inequities in Rural Populations (ARISE) program in the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where she focused on cancer risk reduction through tobacco control among mothers in rural Kentucky. Her research goal is to foster a program of population health research with a focus on maternal-child environmental health. She is currently serving as the clinical coordinator for the undergraduate Community and Public Health nursing course.
