Membership
- Seven elected faculty members representing a range of academic ranks, departments, and program areas (e.g., undergraduate, MSN, DNP, PhD).
- Members shall be full-time faculty with voting rights and at least one year of service in the College of Nursing.
- The Council shall include at least one representative from each degree program (BSN, MSN, DNP, PhD), if possible.

• Program Directors may attend meetings as appropriate for agenda topics but shall not have voting rights.

Functions
- Serve as the executive arm of the faculty for the CON Organization, coordinating faculty input on academic, administrative, and strategic issues.
- Review recommendations from committees on matters related to curriculum, faculty affairs, accreditation, policy development, to ensure alignment with college and university goals and mission.
- Provide oversight and guidance to standing and ad hoc committees, ensuring alignment with college priorities and the strategic plan.
- Act as a liaison between the faculty and the Executive Leadership Team and the Executive Staff Council to facilitate communication.
- Assist in long-range planning related to academic programs and faculty development.
- Review and recommend revisions to the College of Nursing Bylaws and governance documents every two years and as needed.
- Serve as an advisory body to the Dean and the Executive Leadership Team on issues affecting faculty and college operations.
- Set agendas for CON Organization meetings in coordination with the Chair of the Executive Staff Council and ensure follow-up on CON Organization decisions and recommendations.
