Approximately 9 percent of students in the College of Nursing’s graduate program are international students. At the university level, the UK International Center supports more than 1,500 international students and scholars attending UK.
The UK International Center provides:
- Immigration advising by assisting with travel documents, permission to work, transfers and extensions of stay
- Social programs and activities that help students make new friends while learning the campus, take a break from the stress of classes, and get involved through social and cultural or sporting activities
- Community involvement that allows students to experience life outside of campus through activities such as helping hospital patients and community members with language translation or educating children in the public school system through the International Classroom Program
