Celebrating 50 Years of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing

The College of Nursing celebrated the 50th anniversary of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing last week in Washington, D.C.

Since 1969, AACN has worked tirelessly to maintain its role as the leading catalyst for excellence and innovation in nursing education, research, and practice. Over the past five decades, we have expanded our representation from 121 member organizations to 825 member schools of nursing at public and private universities nationwide, representing 530,000 students and 45,000 faculty members—a remarkable development.
