College of Nursing Jonas Scholars Attend 2017 Leadership Conference

Stephanie Kehler, PhD, RN, and JungHee Kang, BS, BSN, RN, from the UK College of Nursing attended the 2017 Jonas Scholar Leadership Conference – a three-day meeting in Washington, D.C. designed to convene the current Jonas Scholars for networking, mentoring and educational opportunities with prominent nurse educators, executives and policy experts in the field. The Jonas Nurse Leaders Scholar Program was created in 2008 to support educational development of new nursing faculty and stimulate models for joint faculty appointments between schools of nursing and clinical affiliates. The conference ran concurrently with AACN’s Fall Semiannual Meeting, which was attended by more than 600 nursing school deans and associate deans.
