Several University of Kentucky (UK) College of Nursing DNP faculty attended the 51st Annual Conference for the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) in Denver, Colo this April. NONPF is a national leader and global partner uniting and mobilizing nurse practitioner (NP) educators to advance excellence in NP education. As members of NONPF, faculty receive resources and support year-round for NP education.

Dr. Andrew Makowski, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Track Coordinator, and Dr. Julie Perry, Assistant Professor, gave presentations to the conference attendees. Their presentations included "Navigating Psychiatric Assessments: A Guide to Student Competency," and "Unlocking Competence, Cultivating Connections: Adapting Escape Rooms for Graduate Nursing Education."
