Two College of Nursing teams participated in the American Heart Association’s 2016 Central Kentucky Heart Walk
The College of Nursing had two teams participate in the 2016 Central Kentucky Heart Walk, which took place at the Keeneland Racecourse on Saturday, May 14.
The American Heart Association’s 2016 Central Kentucky Heart Walk brings communities together to raise funds and celebrate progress in the fight against this country’s number one and number five killers – heart disease and stroke. Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that’s fun and rewarding for the entire family.
As part of the 49 UK HealthCare® teams, the eleven members of the RICH HEART team raised $525, while the eight members of the Simulation team raised $325.
UK HealthCare’s goal is to raise $75,000 by July 14, 2016. They are over halfway there!
