Amanda Trent

Instructional Designer

Amanda joined the College of Nursing as an Instructional Designer in September 2021 after working in the research field for over a decade. Prior to joining the CON, she worked at the Center of Health Services Research at UK where she worked on a statewide grant project that helped connect Kentuckians with community resources that can help them overcome barriers like food insecurity, unstable housing, and lack of transportation. Before arriving in Kentucky, she worked at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute and the University of Missouri, conducting MRI studies that looked at the human brain and how it functions. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a BA in Psychology in 2009 and the University of Kentucky with an M.S.Ed. in Instructional Systems Design in 2020.
