Cameron Stephenson earned his undergraduate degree in Health Promotion from Brigham Young University-Idaho. He earned a Master of Public Health from Loma Linda University with an emphasis in global health. He worked for several years as a health educator before deciding to return to school to pursue nursing. To further his education, Dr. Stephenson joined and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force and went on to earn his Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University and became board certified in pediatric primary care. He earned his Doctor of Nursing from the University of Kentucky in 2016.

After completion of his DNP and following his Air Force service, Dr. Stephenson and his family stayed in Kentucky where he has worked full-time as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care. He was invited to teach in the graduate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program in 2018 where he has taught in several areas of pediatric primary care. Dr. Stephenson’s interest’s include developmental pediatrics, pediatric mental health evaluation and treatment and integrating pediatric mental health into primary care. Dr. Stephenson will add a certification in Psychiatric Mental Health in the Spring of 2021 to further advance his practice interests.
