Christina Thompson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Assistant Professor

Dr. Thompson is a two-time graduate of the UK College of Nursing (BSN 2015, DNP 2019). Her bedside nursing experience is in emergency services and occupational health. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in Primary Care, Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery, and Preoperative Anesthesia. Dr. Thompson has experience as an undergraduate research intern with Dr. Kristin Ashford and successful DNP project completion focusing on outcomes for patients with heart failure. Her clinical and research interests include improvements in outcomes for those with cardiovascular disease and improving access to healthcare. Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs.
