Assistant Dean for Academic Advising & Student Success

Corey Moore is the Assistant Dean for Academic Advising and Student Success at the UK College of Nursing. He provides leadership for the Academic and Student Affairs division and oversees all student services activities related to admission, retention, progression, and advising of undergraduate and graduate students in the college. Additionally, Corey provides oversight of student rights and responsibilities, student discipline processes, and administrative and educational services that support the personal and academic success of students. He is also responsible for supporting the college’s efforts in increasing diversity and promoting student mental health. 

Corey is passionately committed to providing holistic student support and advising for students to enhance their academic and personal growth. He understands that students are the lifeblood of the work for student affairs practitioners and helping them navigate every step in their educational journey through graduation is the reason for everything they do. Corey firmly believes the work Academic Advisors do is powerful, impactful, and potentially life-changing. He brings over 17 years of experience in higher education working in areas such as academic advising, orientation, student success, student recruitment and retention, and student-athlete mentoring. Corey is active in the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) both on the national and regional levels.
