Julie Ossege, PhD, FNP-BC, FNAP, FAANP
Associate Professor
Dr. Julie Ossege teaches in the DNP Primary Care Track. She received her RN diploma in 1982, BSN from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in 1986, MSN in 1989 and PhD in Nursing Science in 1993 from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Ossege has 30 years of academic experience. Dr. Ossege teaches several DNP core courses, as well as FNP specialty courses and has been a board certified (ANCC) Family Nurse Practitioner since 1989 and practices in Wilmore, KY.
Dr. Ossege has served on the BOD of the Kentucky Nurses Association and is past Regional Director, Board Member, and Chair of the Research Committee of the Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and was elected a Fellow in 2018. In 2017, Julie was inducted into the National Academics of Practice as Distinguished Fellow - Practitioner.
