Kaitlin Voigts Key, PhD, RN
Assistant Professor
Dr. Key received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from the University College of Nursing in 2015. After receiving her BSN, she worked in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at UKHealthcare. She received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Kentucky in 2020, and was a Center for Clinical and Translational Science DREAM (Disparities Researchers Equalizing Access for Minorities) Scholar. She also received the College of Nursing Alumni Association PhD Award, and was a finalist for the Martha N. Hill New Investigator Award from the American Heart Association. Dr. Key is an active member in the American Heart Association, the American Nurses Association, and the Kentucky Nurses Association.
Dr. Key teaches in the ABSN program at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing, teaching Health Promotion, Pathopharmacology, and Public and Community Health Nursing.
