Executive Administrative Assistant to the Dean
Lisa has worked for UK for more than 37 years. Lisa started her career working with the UK Athletics Association where she was administrative assistant to nine athletics coaches and their assistant coaches and their respective teams simultaneously. She has worked for the College of Nursing for more than 28 years, first as the administrative assistant to the associate dean for graduate studies, Dr. Margaret Grier, and then for the last 26 years as the executive administrative assistant to the last four deans of the College — Dr. Carolyn Williams, Dr. Jane Kirschling, Dr. Pat Howard and current Dean, Dr. Janie Heath. Lisa has provided Board of Director’s Executive level support to Dr. Williams and Dr. Kirschling as each were named President of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Board of Directors during their tenure-the highest Nursing Dean Association in the Nursing profession. Lisa has provided the same Executive level support for current Dean, Dr. Janie Heath, for the past 8 years at the city, state and national nursing profession arenas with nursing associations, organizations, councils, boards of directors and societies numbering over twenty-five. Lisa has won several awards at the College level-the 1997 Gloe Bertram Award for High Integrity, a two-time winner of the CON Employee of the Year Award in 2003 and 2018, and most recently awarded the Dean’s PUMA Award for Deanship Shepherding Excellence. Lisa holds a Certificate from the 2000 UK Leadership Institute and enjoys her supervisory roll supervising three CON staff members and loves mentoring other UK and CON staff.
