Misty Ellis, DNP, APRN, CPNP-AC/PC is an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing. Dr. Ellis earned her Doctorate Nursing Practice degree from Vanderbilt University in 2017. In addition, Dr. Ellis has earned her Pediatric Acute Care Post-Masters certificate and Pediatric Primary Care Advanced Practice degree. She maintains clinical practice as a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital in the Heinrich A. Werner Division of Pediatric Critical Care. Dr. Ellis is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Kentucky Nurses Association (KNA), the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society (PCICS). She currently serves on the board of directors for KNA and serves as an advanced practice provider faculty member for the curriculum committee for PCICS.
