Dean Janie Heath Recognized as Inaugural Distinguished Alumni at University of Oklahoma College of Nursing
College of Nursing Dean and Warwick Professor of Nursing Janie Heath, PhD, APRN-BC, FAAN, was recognized as an inaugural Distinguished Alumni at the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing on Friday, October 27.
The College of Nursing’s Distinguished Alumni award was established by the college and the Alumni Board of Directors to recognize graduates who demonstrate “outstanding leadership related to the field of nursing or health care” and who have made “significant clinical, academic, research, or other contributions to nursing or health care on a local, state, national, or international level.”
Also inducted was Dr. Cole Edmonson, chief nurse of Texas Health System in Dallas, Tx.
More than 30 family members and friends joined in the celebration. Dr. Heath says, "Comache County Memorial Hospital nursing days were the best!"
