Lori Fugate, DNP, APRN, NP-C, WHNP-BC, MSN, RN, assistant professor, was fully credentialed at the UK HealthCare Medical Staff Operations Subcomittee meeting to practice at the Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center in Wilmore, Kentucky.

Currently, 43 percent of the college's full-time faculty are credentialed to practice at UK HealthCare or elsewhere in the community. Of those faculty, 71% are fully credentialed at UK HealthCare.

Dr. Fugate received her ADN degree from Lexington Community College in 1996, and her BSN degree from the University of Kentucky in 2006. In 2008, she received her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner and in a shared program with the University of Louisville received her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner certification. She then received her DNP at Saint Louis University in 2016.  She worked at the Albert B Chandler Hospital from 1996-2006 in the Birthing Center. From 2006-2008 she was the child birth education coordinator at the Albert B. Chandler Hospital. She has worked as a Family and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from 2006-present.  Dr. Fugate currently is practicing at the UK Wilmore Clinic and will be an instructor in the undergraduate nursing program.
