Geunyeong Cha selected for 2022 Outstanding SAHA Cardiovascular Research Nursing Student

College of Nursing and PhD student, Geunyeong Cha, was selected as the 2022 Outstanding Saha Cardiovascular Research Nursing Student on October 28th.  The Saha Awards, provided through UK’s Saha Cardiovascular Research Center, are given to encourage and support staff and students with an interest in, and dedication to, cardiovascular medicine.

Geunyeong was recognized for her achievements to advance cardiovascular research and education and received a $1,000 cash prize and a certificate from Dr. Sibu Saha and his wife Becky during the Awards Ceremony.  Dr. Misook Chung, UK College of Nursing, is Geunyeong’s advisor and wrote her recommendation letter.

The Saha Cardiovascular Research Center was established in 2010 to better understand, research, and seek cures for cardiovascular disease.
