Sandra Rogers, PhD, MBA, RN, CNE

Dr. Sandy Rogers has over 34 years of nursing experiences to share. This includes 20 plus years at the bedside in trauma / surgical intensive care units, emergency departments, and travel nurse assignments. Research interests in the clinical setting includes moderate traumatic brain injury and predictors of functional outcome and quality of life. Other research interests in the classroom setting includes civility, collaborative testing, engagement, and nurse’s civic engagement. Besides certification with the National League for Nursing as a certified nurse educator, Dr. Rogers is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and has memberships with the Society of Trauma Nurses, Association of Critical Care Nurses, and the American & Kentucky Nurses Associations. Dr. Rogers joined the College of Nursing in 2021 and is currently the course coordinator in the NU 430, Advanced Nursing Management of Adults course as well as an instructor in the undergraduate program.
