The College of Nursing Appoints its First Director of Diversity And Inclusion
Associate Professor Jenna Hatcher, RN, PhD, MPH has accepted a new leadership position to help the College improve the culture of its community and the quality of its programs as the first Director of Diversity and Inclusion.
In this new role Dr. Hatcher will work closely with the UK Office of Institutional Diversity to ensure that diversity and inclusion are fully implemented in the College's strategic plan, classrooms and community. She will also help the College of Nursing acknowledge and celebrate the differences in our community.
UK President Capilouto recently recognized her work towards improving the health of vulnerable populations through research and service, and her leadership towards promoting diversity beyond the University of Kentucky – Dr. Hatcher established the Lexington Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association, in which she was a charter member and the first vice president.
