Laura Hieronymus, DNP, MSEd, RN, MLDE, BC-ADM, CDE, FAADE, Associate Professor Dr. Kristin Ashford, ARNP, PhD, FAAN, and their colleagues were featured in the January edition of Plugged Into Prevention, the official newsletter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) for their work with the the AADE DPP program at the University of Kentucky—a partnership between UK HealthCare, Barnstable Brown Kentucky Diabetes & Obesity Center and the UK College of Nursing.

This is the first year the program has been implemented with the College of Nursing and it is managed through the UK Research Foundation. The DPP has also received grant funding from the Kentucky Department of Public Health for a DPP research study for women with a history of gestational diabetes.
