The U.S. News and World Report released its ranking of the 100 best jobs in America for 2023, focusing on occupations with the largest projected growth between now and 2031. Nurse practitioner was ranked second on the list. 

 

 

The positions were also ranked by stress levels median salary, unemployment rate, work-life balance and other factors. The report listed nurse practioner with a median salary of $120,680, and said the field was expected to add 112,700 positions by 2031. 

The University of Kentucky was the first in the country to offer DNP degrees in 2001, and the program ranks in the top 5% as number 20 out of 407 DNP programs across the country.
