Dr. Deborah Reed receives prestigious Sarah Bennett Holmes Award

  The College of Nursing's Dr. Deborah Reed was recently awarded the prestigious Sarah Bennet Holmes Award by the University of Kentucky Women's Forum for her contributions to issues that affect women at UK and across the Commonwealth.  Each year, the award is presented to two female UK employees-- one faculty member and one staff member-- to recognize efforts that would otherwise go unnoticed through typical channels.

Senior nursing student shares her experience during COVID-19 outbreak

Dr. Jean Edward awarded nearly $400,000 for health, social services research

College of Nursing assistant professor Dr. Jean Edward has received a $399,268 award for “Leveraging Medical-Legal Partnerships to Enhance Interdisciplinary, Team-Based Approaches to Facilitate Effective Cost of Care Conversations” from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. 

Nursing students participate in record-breaking DanceBlue 2020

On March 1, UK College of Nursing's students were proud to join more than 900 fellow UK students to participate in DanceBlue 2020. In total, this year DanceBlue raised a record-breaking $2,000,190.20 for cancer research.   UK CON's DanceBlue team did their part by raising $8,650.64 for this special cause.  CON Dance Blue team captain Makenzie Ward was also recognized as a Top 10 individual fundraiser among the more than 900 student participants for raising $1,700.
