Admission requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program from a regionally-accredited institution with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale for all college work.
- Students with a GPA of 2.0 to 2.49 may be provisionally admitted to the RN to BSN track with admission committee approval. Contact Tara Grana at tara.grana@uky.edu for more information.
- Student statement of academic and professional goals provided on an essay questionnaire that is completed during the online application process.
- A verified, clear and unencumbered license will be required at the time of application before being considered for admission.
How to apply
- Select RN-BSN for your major choice. Submit official transcripts as directed.
- To get a transcript preliminarily reviewed for UK Core (general education) requirements, contact the transfer center.
- NOTE: Admissions sends completed applications to the College of Nursing for review. A completed application includes an official transcript from all schools attended (even for one course) and the paid UK application fee. Completed applications received by the College of Nursing after the application deadline will not be considered, and the student will need to reapply for the next academic year.
