Dr. Hartley Feld receives 2021 UKHC-UKCON Academic-Clinical Engagement Award

The University of Kentucky College of Nursing's Hartley Feld, PhD MSN, RN, PHCNS-BC was honored earlier this month during UK HealthCare's Nursing Excellence Award Ceremony by receiving the 2021 UKHC-UKCON Academic-Clinical Engagement Award.
Dr. Feld received the distinguished honor for her standout work as the UK College of Nursing/UKHC liaison for the COVID-19 immunization initiative. She helped to lead and coordinate the safe training and volunteer efforts of hundreds of students from a range of healthcare disciplines and her efforts helped result in the delivery of thousands of vaccines to members of our community.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Feld has directly or indirectly worked with UKHC in numerous roles including: UKHC Birthing Center nurse; College of Nursing Obstetrics and Public Health Clinical Instructor and Course Coordinator; Fellow, Center for Interprofessional Education (CIHE); and Director of Global and Community Health. She currently serves as an assistant professor at the College of Nursing, teaching community and public health nursing in the undergraduate program and leads experiences for students to learn from and improve the health of vulnerable populations in Kentucky and globally. Dr. Feld is also the Chair of Global Affairs, with a focus on student engagement in global health.
