As part of UK HealthCare's annual nursing awards, the University of Kentucky College of Nursing's Lynn Kelso, MSN, APRN, FCCM, FAANP, was awarded the 2020 UKHC-UKCON Academic-Clinical Engagement Award.  The award is given each year to a nurse who demonstrates the impact of providing services that promote the UK HealthCare and UK College of Nursing mission of an authentic and integrated academic-clinical partnership.

"As one of the first Acute Care Nurse Practitioners in the country and a 20-year faculty member at the College of Nursing, Lynn Kelso has been "walking the talk" for years as a leader in acute patient care and instruction," said Dr. Janie Heath, Dean and Warwick Professor of Nursing at UKCON. "This year she's also been fighting COVID-19 on the frontlines, applying her expertise in Pulmonary ICU patient care. Her hard work and commitment are immeasurable and we're proud she's a part of the Big Blue Nursing Nation! Congratulations Lynn on this well-deserved UK HealthCare honor!"

Dr. Kelso was recognized for her exemplary experience and expertise in many areas:
