The College of Nursing is pleased to announce its new partnership with St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky, in which four senior BSN students will have the opportunity to complete NUR 413 - Synthesis of Clinical Knowledge for Nursing Practice.

Until now, second-semester seniors have had the option to complete their senior capstone course at clinical sites in Lexington at UK HealthCare, Eastern State, Baptist Health Lexington, St. Joseph East Hospitals and the Lexington Fayette County Health Department. This new opportunity is available to students beginning Fall 2018.

St. Claire is happy to offer a $1,000 stipend to students who choose to complete this course at their medical center. University of Kentucky's Area Health Education Center (AHEC) will also offer assistance with securing housing as well as payment for housing and some travel. Students will select bundled clinical experiences in Women's Health (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum and Women's Surgery) or Surgical Services (Preoperative, Operating Room, PACU & CRNA Shadowing).
