Nursing to be part of new, interdisciplinary UK Health Education Building
In April 2022, the University of Kentucky announced a commitment to build a new Health Education Building that will aid in the University's mission to train health professionals who will advance the well-being of the Commonwealth and beyond.
The new building project is a collaboration among four health care colleges – Medicine, Public Health, Health Sciences and Nursing.
With technological advancements, modern aesthetics, and a spacious environment conducive to learning, this new facility will serve as a hub for health education and provide an exceptional educational setting to sufficiently prepare the next generation of health care leaders, health and rehabilitation practitioners, nurses, physicians, public health professionals, scientists, and more.
"This building represents an opportunity for health disciplines on UK’s campus to come together for the betterment of the Commonwealth and the world," said Robert DiPaola, provost of UK. "Through transdisciplinary collaboration, we will use this building to improve the lives and well-being of those in every corner of our state."
