UK College of Nursing Ranks in Top 2% in Nation for BSN Programs; Top 5% for DNP Programs

The University of Kentucky College of Nursing strives for excellence in education, practice, research, and service and its programs are continuously recognized both nationally and internationally. In the latest U.S. News & World Report, the UK College of Nursing’s BSN Program was ranked in the top 2% as No. 15 out of 681 BSN nursing programs across the country. This represents an increase from its top 20 ranking in 2021.  In addition, The UK College of Nursing DNP program was ranked in the top 5% as No. 20 out of 407 DNP programs across the country. These rankings are determined based on the survey results of top academics and administrators within nursing schools.

For Fall 2022, the College of Nursing has 1,662 students enrolled, including 600 students in the traditional BSN, 84 Accelerated BSN, and 180 RN-BSN students. We also have 123 students in the DNP program.  The University of Kentucky was the first in the country to offer DNP Degrees in 2001. Over the last ten years, on average, BSN graduates from the UK College of Nursing passed the NCLEX at a rate of 98 percent.
