College of Nursing Celebrates Homecoming of UK Honor Flight Veterans, Major (RET.) Richard Krolikoski, BSN, 1976 Alumnus

On Saturday, May 20, UK became the first university in the nation to sponsor an Honor Flight, sending nearly 70 veterans on an all-expense paid trip to visit memorials in Washington, D.C. Many of the veterans on the flight are affiliated with UK, including alumni, retirees and family members of current UK faculty and staff.

College of Nursing Professor and Associate Dean of Graduate Faculty Affairs Terry Lennie, PhD, RN, FAHA, FAAN, was among 16 members of the University faculty to be presented with the University Research Professorship Award on Tuesday, May 2. The award recognizes faculty who have demonstrated excellence in research and creative work that addresses scientific, social, cultural, economic and health challenges in our region and around the world. Honor Society of Nursing Inducts Record Number of College of Nursing Students at 40th Annual Ceremony

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Delta Psi Chapter inducted a record number of students from the UK College of Nursing at the 40th annual induction ceremony and brunch reception on Sunday, April 23. Eighty-nine students from the College were inducted, including 21 doctoral students, five RN-BSN students and 63 traditional or second degree students.

The University of Kentucky recognized exceptional faculty and teaching assistants at the Outstanding Teaching Awards at the 2017 University of Kentucky Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 25, in Woodward Hall of the Gatton College of Business and Economics building. Recipients of the inaugural Inclusive Excellence Awards, in partnership with the Office for Institutional Diversity were also recognized.
