UK Nursing honors December 2020 Graduates with first-ever 'Park & Pin' ceremony

The University of Kentucky College of Nursing celebrated its 80th BSN graduating class with it's first-ever Park & Pin ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at Kroger Field's Blue Lot.  The Park & Pin event took place in lieu of a traditional in-person Pinning ceremony in order to maintain safe and healthy physical distancing standards.  

Graduates attended the event in vehicles with their family and friends and listened to the ceremony broadcast directly through the radio. The event was led by College of Nursing Dean and Warwick Professor of Nursing Janie Heath, and featured honorary student speakers Nic Alford and Danielle Duncan.  View the complete program ceremony, including a list of all graduates and special honorees.  

The event culminated with a special send-off parade, as UK Nursing faculty lined up with signs, pom poms, cowbells and more to wish the graduates congratulations as they drove away.
