Faculty and Staff Participate in Annual Retreat4Ward to Update Strategic Goals

On August 15, 2018, College of Nursing faculty and staff participated in the annual Retreat4Ward to update the College's strategic goals using the Appreciative Inquiry and SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) methods. Participants broke into small groups to discuss several goals for our strategic plan, including work-life balance as well as scholarship, research and practice among faculty and students.

College of Nursing Hosts Annual Student Scholarship Showcase Alongside CCTS Conference

  The UK College of Nursing scholarship showcase was held alongside the 13th annual spring conference of the UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) on April 13 at the Lexington Convention Center. While the CCTS supports research across the spectrum of diseases, this year's conference focused on using translational science to address the opioid epidemic. ​Alysha Greenwell, president of the December Class of 2017: Please be seated. Good morning, my name is Alysha Greenwell and I am the December 2017 BSN Class President. I would like to welcome our distinguished guests, faculty, family, and friends to the University of Kentucky College of Nursing’s Pinning Ceremony for the 74th Baccalaureate Graduating Class. As a courtesy to the graduates we are recognizing today, please turn off all cell phones and pagers for the duration of the ceremony.

Scholarship Brunch 2017

  Students, families, members of the College and scholarship donors gathered on Saturday, September 9 at the Hyatt Regency for the College of Nursing's annual Scholarship Brunch to celebrate the academic successes of and scholarships for several undergraduate and graduate students.  One such student, Heather R. Hollingsworth, received the Sally G. Siebert Scholarship for Nurse Practitioner Students. "I plan on making a difference in the world and your generosity is helping me making that a reality," she says.

    Pinning Ceremony The College of Nursing will have its annual Pinning Ceremony for the seventy-third baccalaureate graduating class on Friday, May 5 from 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. at the Singletary Center for the Arts.
