Meet Hall of Fame Inductee Dr. Sue T. Hegyvary

Click here to nominate a distinguished nursing leader by March 31!  Sue Hegyvary, PhD, RN, FAAN, grew up in rural Kentucky in a culture that didn’t especially value education. Very few students from her high school went to college.

College of Nursing Dean, Students Travel to Capitol Hill to Advocate for Nursing Workforce

Five Open Faculty Positions at the College of Nursing

The UK College of Nursing is seeking qualified individuals for five open faculty positions: one research-focused position in the regular title series (tenure track, 12 month appointment), one practice/service leadership-focused position in the special title series (tenure track, 12 month appointment) and three clinical title series positions for the undergraduate program. Please note that to be considered an applicant for this position, you must submit an application via UK’s online employment system.

Undergraduate Nursing Student Showcases Research to Kentucky State Legislature at Posters-at-the-Capitol

  Undergraduate nursing research intern Whitney Hiner was one of 16 students from the University of Kentucky to showcase her research to the state legislature in Frankfort, Ky. on March 2. “This is a competitive and wonderful opportunity for students to present to and inform our officials,” says Janie Heath, PhD, APRN-BC, FAAN, dean and Warwick Professor of Nursing. “We are so proud of Whitney for representing the College and the nursing profession, advocating for a healthier and safer Kentucky for all.”
